Dirty!

So recently while idly browsing around the net for H!P related goodies I came across these great pictures of H!P related porn dvd’s. Now I’ve not seen the actual dvd’s but the covers (which I’ve edited for decency) gave me a bit of a chuckle. Firstly who’d have thought there’d be a market for W porn? Well here’s not double of u…

notdoublesofu

It’s strange. I wouldn’t have thought Aibon (whose probably not far off this kind of career anyway judging from her pb) or Tsuji would be the kind of girls to have lookalike porn doubles. I wouldn’t have thought they were attractive enough. However sure enough they don’t have porn doubles as these girls look nothing like them. The fact they are actually less attractive (well certainly notTsuji is) is an even bigger surprise.

Now if you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time you’ll know there’s one person I love more than anyone else. Yes Aya. So imagine my joy at finding these. The first one is the best…

notayaAyaaargh3Ayaaargh4Ayaaargh5Note the Gam scene in that second to last pic. Interesting classy look for the second pic too. You can’t beat (to) the first pic however. The costumes should look familiar after all and even as a non-fan I can recognise a few of them. Actually it’s spooky finding this erotic art (for want of a better expression and really a better expression is wanted) as just yesterday I found this pic of the real Aya…

Oh no why

And for the briefest of moments found myself actually quite stimulated. Obviously I am a very VERY sick man.

Not as sick however as the person who decided that a porno based on dear sweet Konkon would be a good idea…

nonkonThat seems more nonkon than Konkon. The girl does look really cute though.

Finally the other member I saw getting the treatment (and considering the subject matter that really needs rephrasing) was old babyface herself. Yes with Nacchi’s popularity always being so high it was inevitable that she’d get imitated too…

Notsumi

Again it’s more notsumi than Natsumi. Love the costumes though.

Well I guess it shows how popular H!P is/was in Japan. What the girls parodied (which isn’t the right expression but it’ll do) think of it Tsunku only knows. You’ve got to admire the cheek though (and again that needs rephrasing). Plus that Konno one really is good looking. In fact I think she’s the best looking of the lot of them. Ah art imitating life. And I’m sure it is art too. Well people probably spend a lot of time studying it anyway.

Edit: I forgot all about Yo-Yo Sexy Girl Cop. I wonder if there’s an Okada Yui lookalike in it? I love how most sites that sell it erroneously state Rika is in it.

Yo YO YO WTF

What connects Kusumi Koharu to The Beatles?

Yes the time has come to reveal the truth. Kusumi Koharu, the wonderful crackheaded miracle girl, has a very special connection to The Beatles. Namely someone she has worked with who was also a collaborator with one of the fab four. We all know Tsunku was a fan of the scouse scallies but little could he have imagined, all those years ago when he chose Kusumi as the sole seventh generation member, that this strangely cute little marvel would one day end up working with someone so close to the group he loved so much. I imagine Tsunku is actually feeling more than a little bit jealous at this turn of events.

So here the truth is revealed. Just who has Koharu been working with? Well this person was huge in the 80’s despite being little. Can you guess? No? Okay I’ll continue. This person always got by with a little help from his friends. Do you know who it is now? No? Well this person had a very close relationship with one Richard Starkey. In fact during the 80’s I’d say this person was actually even more famous than Richard was. Surely now you know who it is? Well even if you don’t the answer is below…

vlcsnap-63268vlcsnap-63661vlcsnap-62411vlcsnap-62625

Yes there’s a Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends musical in Japan as well as a fairground type of place called Thomas Land…

vlcsnap-48944

So Koharu is doing a 20 minute tv spot all about Thomas Land (while also advertising the musical). As well as meeting Thomas himself she looks at some balloons and then eats an ice cream. Bad pun of the show is the seller of the ice cream saying “arigathomas”. Something which Koharu makes a really long over the top reaction to. Well it’s for kids so that’s okay.

vlcsnap-65588vlcsnap-65975vlcsnap-66056vlcsnap-66173vlcsnap-66244

Next Koharu gets to ride Thomas. She can ride Morningtime the Engine anytime she wants but no she chooses Thomas. Huh. Well I guess she gets to have fun with all the little kiddies, which to be fair she couldn’t do if she was riding Morningtime the Engine. Well she could but she’d have to wait nine months or so. :D Umm…back to the show…

vlcsnap-67399vlcsnap-67497vlcsnap-67846vlcsnap-67975vlcsnap-68031

After that happy experience she then gets to meet the Fat Controller. I’m not sure if he’s still called that though. I mean political correctness means he’s probably now called the Thinly Challenged Controller…

vlcsnap-69035vlcsnap-69125

Then they get to go on a helicopter ride. It is so a proper helicopter…

vlcsnap-70331vlcsnap-70408vlcsnap-70507vlcsnap-70577

Wheee. Weren’t they high? Well Koharu always gives the impression of being high. Oh but the fun doesn’t end there. Ho no…

vlcsnap-71495vlcsnap-71811vlcsnap-73080vlcsnap-72816

Yes there was another ride and then a maze. I wouldn’t mind getting lost in a maze with Koha. Honestly I can perv over H!P members no matter how they are dressed. Besides…legs…mmmmm. :D

Now it’s time for another ride with Koha (there’s always time for another ride with Koha)…

vlcsnap-73896vlcsnap-73996vlcsnap-74326vlcsnap-74530

And that’s your lot. Koha gets a ticket to the musical and the show ends…

vlcsnap-75855

Honestly I could watch Koharu doing anything. She’s so damn adorable and, well, nuts.

So Thomas made it to Japan? Well they probably have a better rail system over there. He was probably privatised over here and sold off. It’s nice to see they kept the English names for all the characters. I guess we do the same with Pokemon mind. Anyway it’s 20 minutes of Koha aimed more at kids or parents who have kids, live in Japan and need somewhere to take them. But frankly I’d watch Koharu reading the phone book. She’d still make it entertaining or excruciating depending on your take on her. For me it’s entertaining all the way. Oh and if you want this show I’ve seen it at Musume-Central and the tracker at H!O.

Morning Musume in LA part three

Here is a subbed interview with Morning Musume from the AX site. It’s only three minutes long but it’s nice to see. It might be worth checking that site out in the coming days to see if anything else turns up. Like pictures maybe. Also here is the same vid at Youtube…

Also here is another picture from Hello!Online user Raijin…

MM LA

I guess looking at the name tags nobody was too bothered where they sat. I think Risa has been possessed. Also just what is Koharu looking at? Not the same thing as everyone else. She just has to be different. :D

Finally here are three pictures doing the rounds at many Japanese magazines and newspaper sites. They are pics of MM live in concert in LA…

Morning Musume in LA part two.

So MM have now performed their concert. Not much seems to have come out about it yet but what comments I’ve seen dotted around the net seem to suggest it was great. One thing is for sure the girls will all have looked great. Just check out this picture thanks to Hello!Online user Raijin…

Opening

And this shaky video footage from the conventions opening ceremony…

I think Sayumi looked prettier than ever when sitting next to that guy. :D

Anyway the first reports on the concert seem positive although I’m hearing that the whole convention was quite poorly organised. I’ve also read on Hello!Online and other places of the disappointment of forum members who didn’t get to interview MM. Some have suggested this was because of the Tracker at H!O but since no other forums or blogs were granted interviews I don’t think this is the case. Presumably MM only had a limited time to be interviewed and so I’m sure the interviews would have been kept for professional parties. I don’t know how anime conventions are usually organised but I was quite surprised at the number of people from forums or blogs who were printing up business cards to be granted interviews. Forums and blogs aren’t exactly thought of as businesses so it didn’t surprise me that they were denied. Although the forums do a great job at bringing together fans from all around the world and creating this online community (which of course benefits most of us foreign fans) the forums are still just forums. From a management perspective H!P have no official channels for dealing with such places so cannot protect their artists to the degree they could with newspapers, magazines and so on. In a way forums are lawless. They can say anything. I think the H!P management were just doing their job. Of course this is just my opinion and others may differ.

Anyway back to the con and apparently Linlin can speak quite a bit of English. I can’t wait to see some official videos about this event. Like the Sakuracon videos of Hangry&Angry showing them being interviewed, meeting the fans, etc. I feel exceptionally jealous of those who attended! Oh I hope they come to Europe someday.

Morning Musume arrive in LA (updated)

Thanks to Charmy for this link. It’s a video of Morning Musume arriving in LA to a load of blokes cheering. It must have seemed like being back in Japan then. ;) Even so it’s quite nice to see them arrive to a warm and indeed rowdy reception.

It’s the only time I’ve ever wanted to be drinkin’ in LA (to quote the Bran Van 3000 song). All those people who are going to see them live are lucky little blighters. Lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky (to do an impression of a chicken…or possibly Hugh Laurie. Take your pick). I am jealous. But am I downhearted? Yes. Of course I am. Wouldn’t you be? Still if it opens the way to them venturing even further afield then it could be a great thing for us all in the end. I have my fingers crossed. Makes a change from having my wires crossed like usual.

Edit: This link seems better quality and is longer.

Akinator

This site is great fun. It’s also daft. Anyway think of a person and answer the questions and it’ll try and tell you who you are thinking of. It got Ai-chan right the first time of asking. The next two times it went for Eri when I was thinking of Sayumi and Reina. Still fun though. Oh and you can think of anyone from any part of the world. It doesn’t have to be H!P related. It’s a great diversion if you need something silly to do for a minute or two. :D

What A Wota What A Wota Rottara

This is a post about all the stuff I’ve bought since becoming a fan of H!P a few years back. Some people don’t like posts about what people own so if you don’t want to know the result of my obsession look away now.

The reason for this post is simply to give an insight into the collecting habits of the average nutjob wota. I love owning items relating to my favourite groups and members. It gives me pleasure. There’s something good about being able to flick through pics or photobooks when the mood takes me. And actually owning cd’s and dvd’s feels good (but cumbersome). With pv’s and the like I mostly watch via files on my computer except for dvd’s that bring together all of a groups pv’s up to that date. So I tend to watch Biyuden’s dvd collection a lot and the 10th anniversary Morning Musume one too. Otherwise I stick to computer files. With listening to music I tend to mostly listen via my mp3 player or in the car. Yet I love actually owning the official releases. Even if I don’t play them that often I still like owning them. Why? I just like being able to hold and look at the actual cd’s and dvd’s. It feels like holding the case and looking at the booklet makes you feel more connected to the artist in some way. That ownership is a bit like being the member of a club. It’s the membership fee to the hall of H!P. However with the cost of cd’s rising I’ve mainly bought singles via iTunes in recent months but I really miss owning the actual cd’s. I don’t have a single Mano cd but really love her music and so it feels so wrong not owning physical copies! I have all her singles from iTunes instead but somehow it feels like I’m missing out on something.

So anyway the collection. First off photobooks…

pb'spb's 2Pb I forgot

Two of Lovely’s, two of Reina’s, two of Rika’s, two of Konno’s, and one each for Nacchi, Yuko, Mano, Sayumi, Kusumi, Eri and Yaguchi. Plus a Biyuden visual book. Also a magazine featuring C-ute which I shoved in here as I’d forgot Nacchi’s pb when I was photographing them all. I should have put it back when I was last looking at it! I think there’ll be more purchases for Sayumi and Koharu as time goes on. The ones I own of theirs are damn good. I’d expect to pick up more of Lovely’s as well if the chance arises. Anyway I love browsing through pb’s. It’s a good escape from the day to day mundanity of life and really takes you someplace special. I say that without being in the slightest bit smutty as well!

Now cd’s. First albums…

AlbumsAlbums 2

It’s strange that I think Rainbow 7 is the best MM album yet I don’t own it. I want the LE version (as usual) but haven’t seen it at a decent price yet. I tend to go for LE versions mainly. I especially like it when the extra is a dvd like with Koharu’s. Always well worth the few pound extra. Looking at what I own (oh and I have Biyuden’s best of but it’s in another pic. I also have the Hangry&Angry lunchbox thing but forgot to photograph it. Plus Kaori’s first album which I also forgot to photograph) I really need to track down Nacchi’s second album. Other than that and Rainbow 7 I also want the first and only Biyuden studio album and the Country Musume Mega Best.

Now singles and single V’s…

SinglesSingles 2Singles 3Singles 4Singles 5Singles 6

Well again I tend to go for limited editions where possible. Again I especially like extra dvd’s but the photobooks are great too. The Nacchi duet came with a poster which is rolled up in a tube somewhere. Not as much use to me as dvd’s or pb’s but still nice to have. At the moment I’ve mainly been buying singles through iTunes though. The prices of physical copies are just making it harder to justify the outlay. Imagine wanting each version of Mano’s singles? That’s a lot of money.

Now dvd’s…

Dvd'sDvd's 2Dvd's etcDvd's miscellaneous

Okay there’s C-ute’s Forever Love single and a few photo albums in there too but it’s hard to organise so much stuff to photograph. :P Also Morning Musume’s singles collection is in there too due to the package shape. It does have a live clips dvd with it to be fair. There’s the fanclub cd’s in there as well. As for the dvd’s well I love Alo-Hello dvd’s and want more. Collection pv’s like the MM and Biyuden ones are great too. Biyuden’s is excellent as it not only has the main pv’s for each single but a selection of different versions for each too. I need some more live dvd’s I think. There needs to be more H!P-related dramas and films too. I want to see more acting from H!P members. Lovely deserves more that’s for sure.

I also own other merchandise. T-shirts, scarves and one towel. Except I forgot to photograph the scarves. Nevertheless as well as Lovely’s last scarf and a Sayumi one I also have…

gatas shirtKonno 21'st shirtReina shirtKanna towel

As far as t-shirts are concerned these days they are really dear so that puts me off a lot. Otherwise I’d want loads. I really want an Ai-chan one and I’m regretting not getting her Platinum 9 tour one. I ordered the group one instead but I’m still waiting for it. I’d also love a Koharu one too. Unlike Sayumi she has a colour I’d wear. :P I really love the Konno t-shirt and the Gatas one. Although they both need an iron! How come you iron things and hang them in the wardrobe and then a few days later you take them out and they are all creased? Maybe I need a bigger wardrobe. Or less clothes. Anyway I think that’s it Gatas-wise unless I see the dark Konno goalkeeper’s jersey at an affordable price somewhere. I only own one towel as I’m not sure of the point of them. A towel you can’t get wet? Having said that I love Kanna’s as it’s one of my favourite images of hers. Scarf-wise I can’t see myself getting more as how many scarves do you need? I have Sayumi’s and Ai’s so in future I’d probably save my money for some other type of merchandise.

Photo’s I’m not even going into. I have a H!P photo album full plus another normal photo album full. Plus quite a lot more.

Am I obsessed? Well I’ve always liked collecting stuff. H!P is my current crack. I think my obsession for H!P probably goes deeper than any other I’ve had. Probably because H!P is such a well oiled machine. The sheer level of stuff they produce (both musically and in terms of merchandise) and the quality of what they produce is so good that there’s always something (well actually many things) that I want. I mean even now I want physical copies of Mano’s singles, the Rainbow 7 cd, Biyuden’s first and only studio album, Nacchi’s second album, Ai-chan, an Ai-chan t-shirt, some pictures of Koharu in the red Chance! dress, Okada Yui, some more photobooks and Michishige Sayumi. Okay obtaining some of those may be tough (although Yui doesn’t seem too busy) but in time I hope to acquire them. Although how I expect to keep Lovely, Yui and Sayumi in the manner they deserve god only knows. Despite all that I’d say that this year, mainly due to the exchange rate getting worse and the fact that I have far less diposable income now, I have been spending a lot less. I impose a budget for each month and I am a lot more careful with my money than I used to be. Even so, thanks to a few ebay bargains, I have Nacchi’s last live dvd and the first Ongaku Gatas live dvd heading my way.

I have no idea how much I have spent on all this stuff. However some things (mainly the older releases) have come through ebay or sellers on forums so not everything has been priced as new. I’m sure there are many people who own a lot less and I’m sure there are many people who own a lot more too. This post isn’t designed to show off in any way, except to show off my love of H!P. Yes my name is Morningtime and I’m a wota. But really that just shows that there’s a lotta love for H!P’s members so it’s not that bad. In fact it’s not bad at all. I mean I don’t waste my money on drink (well mostly I don’t), drugs, cigarettes or for the most part on western entertainment except for the occasional dvd. H!P gives off such a good spirit so there are far worse things to be into. This is life-affirming stuff and it’s given me so much entertainment over the past few years that it’s been well worth the outlay.

Top Ten – Musume Solo Singles

Yes it’s another top ten. This time it’s the best singles from single Morning Musume members.

10.Yume Kara SameteTakahashi Ai

It counts. It does! Download singles are still singles. Anyway it’s not as good as Ai-chan’s song from Morning Musume’s mini album 7.5 Fuyu Fuyu Morning Musume Mini! (Yuki Ai × Anata ≧ Suki) but it’s still worthy of praise. Ai is given a song with a similar tempo here and her voice sounds as good as her voice should. If Lovely ever gets a solo career I wouldn’t want every song to sound like this (my one criticism of H!P solo careers would be a lack of variation in styles) but I would want some songs sounding like this. Just as long as some sound like SONGS from Platinum 9 Disc. Like with Nacchi the song style of this single suits the personality of the singer as well as the voice.

9. Sweet HolicAbe Natsumi

Okay I love all the versions of the pv. I couldn’t decide which one to post so I thought why not just post them all. :D Anyway this is a very chilled out Nacchi number and just flows over me in a very erotic enjoyable manner.

8. Amasugita KajitsuAbe Natsumi

It’s one of those songs where the lilt in her voice acts as a hook into the music. Again it’s laid back Nacchi heaven.

7. BalalaikaKusumi Koharu

Bears. Clowns. Arrrrrrggggggghhhhh. But if this song doesn’t at least get your toes tapping you don’t have a pulse. It’s typical Kusumi heaven. Kusumi is like sweets or chocolate. Too much would make you ill but none at all would be depressing. Pure bubblegum pop at it’s perkiest. I’m still having nightmares about the bears and the clowns though. They come at night you know. They watch you while you sleep.

6. Datte Ikite KanakucchaAbe Natsumi

This song was one I overlooked at first but eventually grew on me and now is one of my favourite Nacchi singles. The pv is interesting too and it’s great to play spot the H!P member back-up dancing. I can recognise Ayaka, Asami (Country Musume’s not-Konno one) and Satoda. Not sure who the fourth one is. Another Country Musume member perhaps?

5. UraraNakazawa Yuko

It’s a beautiful song and her voice hits me in just the right place.

4. Shanghai no KazeNakazawa Yuko

I just love her singing. It’s a song that always gets into my heart when I hear it. Good pv too. She looks gorgeous in the blue and white. The two backing…oddities both remind me of Japanese Frankie Dettoris though. :P

3. Happy Happy SundayKusumi Koharu

The music is actually quite odd. Which is good. It actually suits Kusumi’s voice as with the best will in the world you’d have to say that her voice is odd too. But this is Kusumi and odd is her thing. Like with all Kusumi solo songs if this doesn’t make you want to bounce like a rubber ball you are probably on a drip in a hospital or on prescription valium. Actually this would be great for coma patients. Put some headphones on them and even if they don’t like the song the sheer strangeness of Kusumi’s solo music would bring them around. You’d have to wake up just to find out what the fcuk was going on.

2. Koi no HanaAbe Natsumi

Time for my favourite Nacchi song. If I ever had to sing a H!P song at karaoke (and pray that never happens, or at least if it does that you are not within earshot at the time) this would be the song I’d have the best chance of singing with any real pronunciation. It’s the only song where I can confidently say I know a fair amount of the words. For I have not just listened to it a lot I have also watched the subbed pv a lot too. It’s just a great song with an equally charming pv. I love Nacchi’s…everything in this. Her smile, her little shoulder dance, just…everything.

1- Chance!Kusumi Koharu

This song played a huge part in me becoming a fan of the crackheaded one. It’s just perfect pop. I have never tired of this song. If it comes on my mp3 player (which I often listen to on random play mode) I never skip it. The sign of a true classic. If you want something breezy and catchy, sung by a cutely mad and madly cute Japanese singer this should be your first port of call. Oh and the bit in the pv where she lets down the dress is probably my favourite H!P pv moment. She just looks great in the red dress. The pv I’ve linked was subbed by H!F by the way. Just thought I’d give them a mention as it’s been a while. :P

On reflection it’s a shame Kaori’s solo career hasn’t taken off. I quite like her two solo singles but not as much as the stuff in this top ten. Her first solo album however is pure gold. If any one of the songs in it had been released as a single it would have been in this list. They may have all been cover versions but they were great songs and her voice was amazing. I’d like to hear more from Yaguchi too. Her one solo effort to date was okay but I can’t say it’s pricked my consciousness enough. But she’s one of my favourite (ex) H!P members and I’d love to see her do more. Meanwhile Maki Goto has never really interested me and I’ve never heard that Tsuji single so their non-inclusion isn’t really a surprise (well at least not to me). Finally it seems a shame Yuko wasn’t given a bit more variety. Really there was only two of her songs with a chance of getting in the top ten but I love them both. She has a good voice and I don’t see why she couldn’t have been given a bit more variation and thus more of a chance at solo success. Then again Nacchi is the most successful and I like all her singles (except Koi no Telephone Goal) but even she hasn’t exactly had too much variety. Koi no Telephone Goal is very different admittedly but that’s awful. :P The Stress is probably the other single that stands out as being a bit different. It’s not in the top ten but I do like it. A few more upbeat songs wouldn’t go amiss even if she does do the slower stuff beautifully.

Aya…

Well then where was I? Right! You there at the back sit down and shut up. Thompkins put that comic away. You there…Smith? Right yes you Smith clear up that mess. Right are you all sitting comfortably?

Okay. It has come to my attention that some of you, I’m not mentioning any names, but some of you are not particularly happy with my attitude to Aya. You are of course perfectly…Williams put that away…entitled to your own opinion. Indeed if you have your own blog you can say what you like. Blenkinsop put down the frog. I’ve seen many people slag off Kanna or even dear Lovely. I am entitled to disagree with them just as they are entitled to disagree with me. But under the new constitution we are all allowed freedom of speech as long as what we say is acceptable to the current US president. If what we say is not suitable to the current US president we all have the constitutional right to remain silent and gagged while awaiting trial without a lawyer. Smith get your hand out your pocket.

This is what we sometimes erroneously call freedom of speech…Fletcher that’s sick. Stand at the back of the class. Well don’t smell it. Face the wall you vile boy.

Any civilised society must have the right to vent forth opinions. Not those kind Gilliam. We all know it was you who sprayed the graffiti on the girls toilet wall. Miss Jones is not a bicycle nor any other kind of transportation.

Can any society survive if oppressed? If people are not allowed…Smith for the love of god stop playing with yourself. Put your hands on the desk…to opinionate then there  can be no meaningful discussion and bigotry will thrive. To say nothing of injustice.

Have we all lost our way? Society deems it acceptable to criticise the likes of Kanna or Erina but seems very knee-jerk reactionary when it comes to those more successful. This is not a jungle. It is not survival of the fittest. If those still proving themselves are fair game than so are those…hand me that note King…who are considered already successful.

Anyway I mainly concentrate on the good things in life like Lovely, Sayumi and Koharu. I do however reserve the right to point out just how smug and annoying I find Aya. I also reserve the right to take her name in vain for humorous purposes. What? No Stamp not humorous porpoises. Why would I take her name for humorous porpoises? Purposes you thick-eared clout.

This is not to say I expect everyone else to agree with me. However if you don’t have the guts to talk to me to my face…Carter spit that gum out…then you are basically just children.

And the challenger is…

You know I don’t really think anyone in H!P is overrated. I think a fair few are underrated though. However there will always be some people who, for whatever reason, you just don’t get. For me one such person is Suzuki Airi. Now I think she has a good voice and so I do understand her getting lots of solo lines with C-ute. But when it comes to her looks and personality I just don’t get the appeal. Or at least not the level of said appeal. But then why should I? I’m sure I’m not the target audience (or am I? Hmm…maybe I am). I guess it shows that everyone has different tastes and different ideas of what constitutes beauty. Many’s the time I’ve seen a new photo of her on the picboard at Hello-Online and thought “ooh she doesn’t look good there”. Only to then find lots of people posting comments about how great she looks. Each to their own. That’s part of what’s great about H!P. There’s something for everyone. I’ve just spent the afternoon watching the H!P Winter Wonderland 2007 concert (the one where Asami…no not that one, the other one. You know the Country Musume one? No not the one on loan from Morning Musume, the other one. The one who played for Gatas Brilhantes. No not that one, that’s the Morning Musume one. The other…oh sod it. Here…

Asami no the other one

Her. The H!P concert where she and Miuna Saito graduated). Okay I put a photo in the brackets and had to start a second paragraph. Is that the most pointless use of brackets ever? Well regardless back to the point. I watched the Winter 2007 concert and it was great. Obviously I skipped parts but even so there was so much to love.

vlcsnap-135361

How did that get there? Well yeah…so…it was a great concert. Sometimes seeing the majority of H!P over two hours really hits home how great H!P is. Biyuden…down boy. Takahashi sings so well and looks so good. See Nacchi and swoon. Yaguchi looks so cute. Kusumi looks so cute. Yuko looks like she’s been dragged through a hedge backwards but I’ll forgive her. Anyway she sang well. Then to top it all Konkon turned up unexpectedly during the graduation bit. Konkon is just the living embodiment of cute…

vlcsnap-306267vlcsnap-306976vlcsnap-307569vlcsnap-309819vlcsnap-311060vlcsnap-311231vlcsnap-311813vlcsnap-315053

Anyway as I was saying before I so rudely interrupted myself with picspam there is something for everyone in H!P. The concert from 2007 was touching because everyone had those glowsticks in the colours of not-Konno Asami and Miuna. It doesn’t matter that Country Musume didn’t have that much success. Those two members were still a part of H!P and deserved their moment. They had helped give H!P that unique spirit just as much as anyone else. So there’s something for everyone and sometimes the popularity of one or two individuals will baffle you (coughAyacough). Mainly I prefer to concentrate on the people I like as there’s too much negativity in the world anyway. H!P is my escape from that. Any sarkyness in my blog is usually aimed not at the members but at behind the scenes people (coughHaromoni/Yorosen producerscough). Okay there may be the odd exception (coughAyacough) but mostly that’s my attitude. Hmm…that’s a lot of coughing. I think I’m coming down with swine flu. So permit me to be a swine for a moment and digress even further.

It seems I overlooked Aya’s birthday so it seems only fair to make up for it now with a belated birthday poem.

Happy birthday dear Aya.

Even though you are dire.

Happy birthday dear Aya.

I hope you soon tire.

So where was I? Oh yeah. There’s something for everyone in H!P so it’s not worth complaining just because someone like Mano who is great has a solo career and your favourite doesn’t na-na-nee-na-na.

*Pulls tongues*

Is this my most childish post ever? Well regardless we should celebrate those we love while accepting those we don’t. So I don’t see people as being overrated but there are many who are underrated. Suzuki Airi’s popularity baffles me somewhat but that’s fine. She has a good voice and I love C-ute and Buono. So I accept that she’s popular. I accept the level of her popularity and frankly I don’t begrudge her it. I don’t begrudge any of them whose name isn’t Aya that kind of popularity. They all work very hard from a very young age so they deserve success. Good luck to her and to everyone else in H!P.

Anywhoo…

The award for the worst swimsuit and the worst photobook cover ever has been won by the same person. Here’s Suzuki Airi to accept her award…

Award

To be fair there have been times in Buono pv’s where she’s reminded me a bit of Konkon and I can’t think of a bigger compliment than that. I also don’t dislike her at all. She does have her cute moments I’m sure.  Seriously though, that front cover…it’s not a flattering swimsuit and she looks grumpy. You all hate me now don’t you?

Just what is it with C-ute and bad beachwear? First Maimi’s crimes and now this. Maimi was the Queen of the bad bikini so Airi just had to take the swimsuit crown. It’s like the solo lines distribution thing all over again. Poor Nakajima and Umeda will be lucky to get a look in. They’ll be forced to just wear moderately bad swimwear in some group pb or something.
