Well misery finds itself facing a challenge today as Morning Musume’s latest single Kimagure Princess is shown to be actually really rather good and positively brimming with joyfulness. People have been on the streets rallying in support of cheeryness since the news first broke out two days ago. This early sign of optimism has swelled over the past 48 hours as more and more people joined the pro-happy demonstrations. Some carrying the national flag of Ishikawarikaland.
Fears of widespread violence were averted as the miserable people failed to turn out in support of shit emo singles as that would have meant leaving their bedrooms. There is now a carnival atmosphere as the masses rejoice (although not Maasa as she’s being frumpy somewhere, nor Massa as he’s doing an impression of a pirate). Cossack dancing has swept through the streets liberating the oppressed masses (excepting Maasa and Massa) in an outpouring of joy and cowboy hats. How Cossack dancing and cowboy hats go together is anyone’s guess but there you go.
Tsunku awarded Nobel Peace Prize.
H!P lyrics President Tsunku has said he was “surprised and deeply humbled” to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, less than 2 days after the pv for Kimagure Princess was unveiled.
Speaking at the White Horse pub hours after the Norwegian Nobel Prize Committee named him as a surprise winner, he said the award should be a “call to action”.
The world faced challenges that “cannot be met by emo shit,” Mr Tsunku said.
The committee said he won for efforts to boost positivity, happiness and peace throughout the world via the form of decent, happy music with a nice beat.
“Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Tsunku captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future,” the Norwegian committee said in a statement.
However previous Nobel Peace Prize winner Eithne Patricia Ní Bhraonáin has criticised the decision to give this year’s award to Tsunku.
“Tsunku has yet to prove that he will move seriously on the Middle Eight, that he will end the war on Niigaki-san and many other issues,” Ms Clannad said.
“The Nobel committee is not meeting the conditions of Alfred Nobel’s will, because he stipulated that the award is to be given to people who end depressive music and bad pv’s and are for disarmament of Mitsui Aika. You may as well give the award to the sodding US President.”
But such negative comments are the minority as the whole world rejoices in the 8 sexy princesses and Mitsui’s wonderfully catchy Russian themed single. And what better way to say a fond sayonara to Kusumi Koharu than by making her last Morning Musume single a blatant copy of her own solo single Balalaika?
